"Passionate" and "Shy" Describe My Nails Today

I was curious so I got one of those color changing nail polish from the "Mood Swing" collection by icing.

I got the Mood Swing nail polish in the color: Passionate/Shy

Hmm... I don't really notice a change in color... yet. Did I do it wrong?

I liked how "mood" nail polishes made some of you guy's nails create a gradient effect.
But then again, my fingers are feeling a bit cold at the moment. O_o

This polish's finish is matte (something I did not expect); Not that it bothers me but I decided to brush a couple of layers of top coat (same one I used in here) over it anyway.

Maybe I will experiment with this later. :p

You own any of these polishes? Which colors? :p Do they work for you?

Hollow Mask from Bleach (Ichigo) Makeup

My inner hollow peaking through...

I increased the contrast, blurred the edges and colored my right eye yellow (those creepy yellow contacts would have been useful to use right here :P).

I used this picture of Ichigo (from Bleach anime):

and also inspiration from iChuyy. She made me want to try it. :p

Do you guys watch Bleach? :P I watched it until it got a little too long hahaha! :P

Vidal Sassoon Hot Rollers

I had a little bit of time to spare and so before I hopped onto the computer, I quickly rolled up sections of my hair (dry, not damp) in the hot rollers by Vidal Sassoon and surfed the internet until the rollers cooled down.
I'm not sure what model it is or price because a friend had given it to my mom and since its old, there is no box anymore. Sorry about that.
This is what it looks like though:

I got all excited because I barely found out how to work the bobby bins with the rollers, haha!

As for the results:

I liked how it turned out. :3 I liked how it didn't take very long too (about 20 minutes). It usually takes me about an hour to curl my whole head with the curling tongs.
I curled it at night and the curls didn't last until the morning though because my hair was all straight again when I got up. Maybe it was because my room was a bit humid? Also, I didn't use hairspray though so it would have probably stayed curly if I had used some. :p

PROS:
-Easy to use
-Fast/Quick
-Can do other things while curlers are on
-Rollers have different sizes

CONS:
-Rollers can be hot when you try to handle them
-Hair tends to have more flyaway using these rollers compared to using curling tongs
-You look ridiculous while the rollers are still in your hair (can be a good thing if you like to make people laugh :P)

Have you used something like this before? Do you like it?

THE FACE SHOP: Volcanic Ash Self-Heating Mask

I was at one of the Asian malls the other day and I was pretty excited when noticed a new shop: The Face Shop!
My friend usually gets me stuff from this store whenever she goes back to Korea and so it was nice that there's a store here (I won't have to bug my friend anymore hehe).

One of the items I bought was their Volcanic Ash Self-Heating Mask from the Nature's Gifts line:
Front

Back/Description and Instructions
The mask looked really dark just by looking at it from the tube:

But it is not really very black like some of the other volcanic masks (MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask):
Thick clear gel with what I assume are volcanic ash particles/bits
Bonus pic of me with mask on :P
See what I mean? The mask is more on the clear side.

PROS:
-Self-heating:
I definitely feel the thermal heat effects once the gel is rubbed onto my face. I like it because it feels pretty relaxing.

-Gives squeaky-clean feel:
The gel feels quite thick and so I was afraid that it won't give my skin a squeaky-clean feel after I had washed it off but it actually feels really clean and smooth.

-Good for oil-control:
My skin type is combination but it is more on the oily side during summer and so this is why I chose to try this since it claims to absorb excess oils while exfoliating the skin.

-Good scrub:
The volcanic ash particles are a good scrub! :p Makes the mask have a bit of a nice texture as well.

-Volcanic ash has benefits:
Volcanic ash is supposed to absorb toxins and strip impurities from the skin. I heard that it reduces skin inflammation.

CONS:

-Might not be too good for people with sensitive or dry skin.
The thermal effect might be bothersome to some. The volcanic ash particles might feel a little too rough.

-Length of time you have to leave mask on:
The instructions say to leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes.
Not for people who don't have a lot of time? :P

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara

Its time to toss out one of my mascaras I've been using every day. I got this from Farmgirl when she had hosted one of her very generous giveaways. Thank you so much!!!
I just thought I might want to show you guys before I threw it away. :3
Ultra Lengthening 100% Natural Mascara by 100% Pure Cosmetics

Left: With Mascara                            Right: Bare natural lashes

Pros
-The website says that it is 100% natural and 100% vegetarian so I thought that was pretty awesome.
The less chemicals and unnatural stuff we put on our body, the better right? :p
-It does lengthen, separate, thicken, and gloss my lashes like it claims to do.
(I know it looks a bit clumpy in the picture but that's because its about time I chucked it out! :P)
-The formula is gentle and suitable for people who wear contacts. I like how my eyes don't tear up whenever I accidentally get this stuff in my eyes.
-I like the scent :3
-I love the packaging! so pretty :3

Cons
-It is not water and smudge resistant.
In fact it smudges quite easily especially when I tear up.

Even though there are way more pros than cons, I prefer mascaras that are waterproof and smudge-proof because my eyes do water a lot for some reason and I don't want to have to worry about looking like a panda every time I yawn or something.
I do like the fact that it has a lot of natural ingredients in it so I just might purchase this to use again.
Maybe next time, I can try this with a mascara sealer. :3

Seven Beauty Characteristics

Miss [Anna] of Milk & Mookies blog (heehee! I love her blog name) tagged me! :)
So the point of this tag is to share 7 (<-- my favorite number) physical characteristics that you LOVE about yourself, and then tag 7 other people to do the same.
I thought that this was nice because it gives us the chance to appreciate ourselves (in a non-conceited way, of course -__-).

1. Hair - When I was younger, I didn't like my hair because it was short (I had a bowl-cut at one point, yikes!) and I always dreamed of having long hair like Rapunzel :p And although my hair is still not as long as her's, I still like that I can keep it long now. :)
2. Nose - I'm happy that I don't have a nose with big flaring nostrils. :p It makes it okay for me to call my mom and sister silly names like 'dragon-nostrils' when they are picking on me. :p MUAHAHHAHA!
3. Hands - I like my hands because it is very useful and it has nails for me to decorate and paint; :P

4.Flabby arms :P
Okay -___- I know I know.. I'm running out of things to love about myself... -__- cut me some slack
I guess what I really mean is I like how my arms are soft. :P haha! My sister is totally the opposite of me. :p She likes her body to be toned and firm and muscular but I'm not very into that look. :P
I don't mind the 'fit' and 'firm' part. I just don't like to look all muscular and buff because I don't think it looks very feminine. :p
5...... hmmm...
O_o
I am starting to think that this tag is a trick!
This tag is forcing you love everything about yourself. Like c'mon, -__- how many beauty characteristics can we list?
The only other beauty characteristics that I could think of that's left is 'legs'. -__- Maybe 'smile'... 'body'?.
Or maybe I just need to change the way I see myself. O_o
I think I may have ruined this whole tag because the whole point is to feel good about oneself and I'm sitting over here typing away all of this negative stuff. -__-

I apologize.

I think I also cheated by skipping a few. ><

Okay okay...
In conclusion, I LOVE MYSELF and appreciate all the characteristics I am born with and will TRY not to compare myself with other gorgeous people out there and feel self-conscious afterward.
(No sarcasm involved.)

I tag these seven lovely and beautiful people:
1.Alice
2.About me Aweedee
3.Adelicia Kaya
4.Caramelle
5.Karen
6.serenadeveryday
7.sheri amor

My Mom's My Superhero

I always love shopping with my mom. :)
I got to do that a few weekends ago. O_o
This was when MAC cosmetics was promoting their Wonder Woman Collection.
To get into the theme, I turned us into a comic!
I followed this tutorial to get this comic book effect just in case you were curious.

Heehee... mom getting ready for her make-over:

This event was a pretty popular one. A lot of people were getting makeovers and here's a little bonus pic of the models with... um.. great looking "backs". O_o

Wana see what we got?

1. MAC Wonder woman Eyeshadow x4 DEFIANCE

2. MAC Wonder Woman Lipstick HEROINE

3. MAC Wonder Woman Powder Blush ~Mighty Aphrodite~

The graphics on the boxes looked pretty awesome.
Mom laughed at the actual product packaging. She thought they looked like toys because they were plastic-looking (lipstick and blush). I thought it was not bad. Nice and bright. The eyeshadow packaging looked more sturdy. :) Maybe its made out of some sort of metal? O_o

We also bought other stuff but I'll post them another time. :P
My OOTD

Did you guys buy anything from MAC's Wonder Woman Spring Collection 2011? Please share! :)

Biore Porepack Review

1. Product Image:

You get 10 individually packaged nose strips in one box

"tear here"

RAWR!!!
1 Biore pore pack nose strip (black color)

2. Product Description:

Instructions
How to use
How it works

3. Who is this for? Not for?
This product is good for people who want to remove any blackheads and other gunk out of the pores of your nose.
This product might not work for people with sensitive skin because you have to tug and pull the nose strip off... kind of like a band-aide.

Here, we wet our noses with water first, position the nose strip and stick! :) We found it works best if you add more water to the nose strip until it is quite moist.
My poor bf is forced to try the nose pack with me. :P He was in the middle of playing guitar hero.. hahaha!
And another victim!!!! :P muahhaha! :P This is 'Jinja'.

4. Negatives
It can be messy because it leaves black residue on the nose (maybe the white nose strip will be better although you can't see the dirt from the pores as well as against a black background).
You have to deal with strange looks for about 10 to 15 minutes while waiting for the black strip on your nose to dry.
Black residue from nose strip -__-;;;
Awww... still smiling after all that I put him through! :P
Ninja cheated because he wiped off the black residue so he has a clean nose. :P

 5. Results/Opinions:
I like it! :P You can literally see all the gunk you pulled out of the pores of your nose, especially on the black background. Its gross but kind of fun to see that it worked. :)
My bf approved! He was surprised by the results. :P Maybe I can get him to try it a second time. :P
Ninja gave a thumbs up when I asked him what he thought about this product and its effectiveness. I think he would try it again as well.

EEEEEEEWWW!!!!

6.Would you repurchase?/Where you can buy it:
Yes, I would repurchase this product.
I've been buying the white Biore nose pore clear packs since my teenage years and the black colored one works just as well as the white one.

Stuff I bought at Daiso

There is no Daiso store close to where my sister lives and so we all went there to check it out and buy a few things. Daiso is like a $1.50 store although they also carry items that clearly marked if they cost more than $1.50.
Daiso has a lot of interesting, cute, and useful items. It is always so fun to browse through that store! :3
I just wanted to share what I bought, if you guys would be interested to see...

1.Tape for double eyelid

2. Double eyelid glue

Has anybody tried these two eyelid products before? I'm curious to know if they are any good...
These are for my friend. Sounds kind of uncomfortable.

3. Purse hangers ("Bag Hanger Hook")

I've been meaning to get these and I've seen them ranging from $3 to $40 and so when I saw them at Daiso for $1.50 only, I had to grab them! :) I got them in pink, green and blue. I think its great for when we go out, we won't have to place our bags/purses onto the ground. :p I don't quite like the idea of dirtying or getting germs onto my bags. :p So I thought that these were such a great buy!

4. Hair brush ("soft boar bristles")
The box says it was "excellent for glossy hair", and "has no static electricity". :3

5. Self-adhesive designed fabric
I was going to try and protect my phone with this. Hopefully that will work out. If not, I will probably use it to decorate and cover other objects I can find around the house. :p It looks like it will make a plain-looking item a lot better!

I've got some pictures I wanted to share with you guys from a couple of trips I went to not too long ago too! :3 Hopefully I'll get to show you in my upcoming posts very soon. :)
