I Have A Wish
I consider myself pretty superstitious.

Its silly? :p
I don't mind.
I'll still believe in it.
It gives me good memories of my grandmother and all of her colorful stories she used to tell me. She would teach me and my sister through stories and not just by telling us what to do/not-do or what is wrong/right. I loved how she lets us think for ourselves and choose which path we wanted to take whether it be bad or good.
Where am I going with this?
Well, I have a wish that I really want.
And I've done this before a few years back, no lie.
I'm folding 1000 cranes.
Japanese legend has it that your wish will come true if you go through the labor of folding 1000 cranes.
Do you want to know if my wish came true the first time I had folded 1000 cranes?
Maybe it was coincidence?
It doesn't matter.
My wish still came true.
Plus, wouldn't life sound more fun when a little bit of "magic" exists?
I've even tried testing this whole theory out, just in case.
I started out by making an outrageous wish that I know will never come true and tried folding another 1000 cranes for that wish.
Guess what happened. I never finished folding all 1000 of them. O_o
And don't think I didn't try. It just so happened that certain things in life kept on happening to me which caused that batch to have never been fully completed.

In the end, I just like the idea of how I can feel like there is a slight chance that I am able to control the outcome of my life sometimes.
I've folded 612 little cranes so far. :p Only 388 more to go.
Do you have a wish?
Even if you don't believe in this but you still want to learn how to fold these little cranes, you can find some instructions: (here, here, and here)
(If you want to make ones as small as mine, I cut out my square paper to a size that measures a little less than 2cm on each side)
Its silly? :p

Fun Times
My spring break was really short compared to a lot of my friends' but at least I got a small break from school. :P
I got to meet up with some of my friends and we tried slamming some baseballs and playing some mini-golf. :)
We got there quite late so we didn't get to play much arcade games. :P
Maybe next time. :P
Haha! It looked like it was a girl's night out but the guys didn't want to take pictures. :p
They kept on running away from the camera like its going to eat them or something. -__-

What Makes You Happy?
What are some of the things you do to make you feel happy again?
Don't worry, this is not going to be an "emo" post.
I was just curious.
I just wanted to learn how to practice living life with a more positive outlook.
It just sounds so much better and healthier.
Its a waste of time living life being mean and unhappy.
Haha, okay I will not lie, I was feeling a bit down earlier. And now, I can't help but feel silly for being that way.
Why??? :p Why are we (well particularly me) so immature sometimes??? :p
I need to treat the people I love better! :p
So how have you guys been? :)
I was reading the news about crazy things happening in Japan right now; earthquake AND tsunami.
We've been trying to reach family who lives there but couldn't get through to them tonight. :( We're going to try again in the morning.
To all of you that live or have loved ones living in Japan, hope you all are safe and okay.

Seven Beauty Characteristics
Miss [Anna] of Milk & Mookies blog (heehee! I love her blog name) tagged me! :)
So the point of this tag is to share 7 (<-- my favorite number) physical characteristics that you LOVE about yourself, and then tag 7 other people to do the same.
I thought that this was nice because it gives us the chance to appreciate ourselves (in a non-conceited way, of course -__-).
1. Hair - When I was younger, I didn't like my hair because it was short (I had a bowl-cut at one point, yikes!) and I always dreamed of having long hair like Rapunzel :p And although my hair is still not as long as her's, I still like that I can keep it long now. :)
2. Nose - I'm happy that I don't have a nose with big flaring nostrils. :p It makes it okay for me to call my mom and sister silly names like 'dragon-nostrils' when they are picking on me. :p MUAHAHHAHA!
3. Hands - I like my hands because it is very useful and it has nails for me to decorate and paint; :P
4.Flabby arms :P
Okay -___- I know I know.. I'm running out of things to love about myself... -__- cut me some slack
I guess what I really mean is I like how my arms are soft. :P haha! My sister is totally the opposite of me. :p She likes her body to be toned and firm and muscular but I'm not very into that look. :P
I don't mind the 'fit' and 'firm' part. I just don't like to look all muscular and buff because I don't think it looks very feminine. :p
5...... hmmm...
O_o
I am starting to think that this tag is a trick!
This tag is forcing you love everything about yourself. Like c'mon, -__- how many beauty characteristics can we list?
The only other beauty characteristics that I could think of that's left is 'legs'. -__- Maybe 'smile'... 'body'?.
Or maybe I just need to change the way I see myself. O_o
I think I may have ruined this whole tag because the whole point is to feel good about oneself and I'm sitting over here typing away all of this negative stuff. -__-
I apologize.
I think I also cheated by skipping a few. ><
Okay okay...
In conclusion, I LOVE MYSELF and appreciate all the characteristics I am born with and will TRY not to compare myself with other gorgeous people out there and feel self-conscious afterward.
(No sarcasm involved.)
I tag these seven lovely and beautiful people:
1.Alice
2.About me Aweedee
3.Adelicia Kaya
4.Caramelle
5.Karen
6.serenadeveryday
7.sheri amor

Making Pizza from Scratch!
My sister came to visit for Christmas again! :) I love her company; she always makes me laugh so hard. O_o If she stayed any longer, I think I might have gotten abs, haha!
We made pizza from scratch because I wanted to use the pizza stone I got for Christmas. :P
I usually like my pizza all boring and plain (pepperoni and cheese only) but my sister loves lots of vegetables and mushrooms on her pizza. :)
There's also a few teriyaki chicken bits on the pizza... yum!
My sister absolutely loves her headband mom crocheted for her. :)
I also dyed my sister's hair red. :P What do you think?
Can't wait until the next time you come and visit again, Wazie! :P
I know I've been doing a lot of food posts lately but that's what we do a lot during the holidays right? :P

Silly Things Amuse Me
Meet my new buddy...
He's useful and he scrubs my back! :P
haha... I needed a new bath sponge and he was staring at me. I just had to save his lonely self from the racks of the store! It was funny because it was described as "kid's bath sponge" on the receipt. :P Whatever... this little bear looks so silly its hard not to smile whenever I look at it. :P
He cost only a buck.
Me and my sister laughed really hard for at least 3 minutes (not exaggerating) because of how "unique" this little one is...
You wana see why???
HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!! HIS TAIL IS ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD!!!! HAHAHAHA! So hilarious! Oh, poor little bear!
I didn't really like that about it; I wanted to cut it off. ><
My sister didn't want me to do that though. She said it was merely his "ponytail". -__-;;;;
It still looks pretty horrible to me... but I guess he's protected from any modifications... for now. :P

Feelin' SAD, Anyone?
| "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." - Mark Twain |
I know I'm feeling the winter blues and its not even officially winter yet... or is it?
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid and overly dramatic because I tend to scare myself by visiting WebMD a little too often; all of a sudden it seems that I have acquired all of the symptoms the very moment I'm reading about them. -__-
If you can't tell, I am using SAD as an excuse for not blogging these couple of days? weeks? month? O_o
I just felt the need to explain, especially when I get such sweet reminders from Rabitto to blog more often. :P Thanks Rabbito! :3 You're such a cutie.
The weather's been getting colder and I haven't been feeling like doing a lot of things. I was feeling all blah and I didn't want to post anything on my blog that was negative but here I am writing this... haha... I guess I'm feeling a little bold; ready to open up and get more personal! :P
A lot of your comments and messages really reminded me why I like to blog so much. I like the feeling of being connected with you guys. Thank you for always dropping by to say hi and asking me how I'm doing. Thanks for all of your nice and encouraging comments. Thank you for noticing that I haven't been writing any posts lately and thanks for bugging me to write more often! :)

Award Winning Gelato in Los Gatos, California
So I think I'm really sick. ><
I'll be seeing the doctor tomorrow. -__-;;;;
And its funny because every time I have a cold, I always crave ice cream haha! Especially, when I have a sore throat. The doctor tells me to stay away from cold drinks and ice cream whenever my throat hurts and I don't know why I never listen. :P
Last weekend, I went to Los Gatos; The Cats!!! Don't you just love the name of that place! I thought it was quite ironic though because there were so many dogs walking around in that area. :P
I got the chance to visit Dolce Spazio where the best ice cream (voted by Los Gatos Weekly Times, Citysearch.com, Metro Readers’ Choice, and The WAVE magazine) is served.
I had "Strawberries and Cream"(strawberry gelato, strawberries) and "Amaretto Almond"(amaretto gelato, toasted almonds). Gawsh, it was so creamy and delicious! I can see why a lot of people love Dolce Spazio's ice cream. Even their little wafer they stuck in my gelato was good! A nice little crunchy sweet extra treat!
Mom had "Vanilla Bean"(premium vanilla, vanilla bean) gelato:
And Brian had "Chocolate Liqueur" (smooth rich dark chocolate gelato) and "Vanilla Bean" gelato:
If you ever get the chance to visit Los Gatos, California, make sure you try Dolce Spazio's ice cream for yourself!
I know I'll be visiting them again the next time I go to Los Gatos! :)
Note: I'm not affiliated with the company. I'm not compensated in any way to write and publish this post. We paid for the gelato ourselves.

Blah...
guI haven't been feeling too great lately...
I got the sniffles and am trying hard not to get sick! ><
I blame it on the abrupt change in weather lately... T.T haha :P Sucks to be sick...
So I'm just taking it easy and entertaining myself with cute kitty pictures! :3
I'll leave you with my favorite kitty picture of the day! :3
This is Casper... :P
He looks a bit annoyed as well. :p
Can you count how many nose freckles he has? :P

Car Show in Pacific Grove
I promised to show you pictures of places I went to this summer but there are so many so this will only be the first part of the pictures I want to share... :) I don't know very much about cars and I'm sorry I can't tell you much about them but if you are interested in cars (especially mini classic ones) and you like looking at pictures of them... you might like this post.
We went to Pacific Grove and we got to see a car show when we visited in August.
Here's the picture of the whole car just in case you were curious...
The car show had tons of cars and so I compiled some of them here for you to see...
You should see how some of these car opened! The bubble shaped looking car on the middle right side of this collage opened up to the side!
All of these tiny cars looked like they were in pristine condition! I wonder how much the owners have spent on these little cars...
I spotted a few birds on top of a tall building in that area... I'm pretty impressed that my camera could zoom in that far...
Its funny because a lot of people go there to admire and take lots of pictures of the cars but I somehow had more pictures of pets than cars. O_o I was amused to see a lot of people bringing their pets along to the car show. :)
Inside this tiny car was a tiny dog!
I got to see a lot of birds too for some reason. O_o
They were quite cute. They knew how to say a few things like "I love you" and stuff like that. :3

I didn't take very many pictures of me... :P I took more pictures of my family but they may want a bit of privacy. :)
This post was supposed to be about the car show so sorry for focusing on the dogs and birds more. :P I guess I like to look at animals more than cars! :P

I miss my sister! :'(
So my sister has gone back to Canada and I miss having her around. It was fun getting to hang out with her this summer.
We got to do a lot of things together with the family. :3
We got to go to the beach a lot, see the Redwoods, and even visit San Francisco!
I still need to organize all the pictures we'd taken but I'll leave you guys with my favorite thing we'd gotten during one of our trips! :3
This drawing makes me smile every single time I look at it! :P It looks so funny and I love it! :3 I think the artist did a great job at drawing us. :3 I'm quite impressed! Haha! :P
How was your summer? Go anywhere/ do anything fun? :3 I want to know!

Update
Hi guys :)
This post isn't going to be very fun and with lots of pictures. I usually like to keep words to a minimum but today I just felt like talking, I guess.
Haven't been blogging much lately but I've been experiences lots of unexpected things.
My bf's grandmother had passed away a few weeks ago and I tried to help with what I could, mainly just giving support and care to my bf and his family. It was quite sad but my bf and his family are strong people. I'm so glad that I got to be with them throughout the whole funeral and mourning process.
That incident really reminded me to be grateful for still having lots of people I love around me and to not take life for granted.
I went to the dentist two days ago to have two of my molars pulled out. I must say, Ibuprofen is my best friend at the moment. I feel like my cheek is ten times bigger than it really is. Mom's been singing this "fat cheek squirrel" song to me a lot (she had just made it up yesterday). Haha... its not so funny when I'm the "fat cheek squirrel" but if my pain and suffering makes my mom laugh, I'm happy. :p At least its nice to know that my mom has a good sense of humor huh...
I do have some good news coming up though! :)
I'm so excited about my sister coming to visit me all the way from Canada! :) She was supposed to arrive today but her flight got canceled. Boo! She'll still be arriving tomorrow so I'm still happy! Super exciting!!! :)
Hope you all are doing great! :)
But before I go, I wanted to share this video I just watched.
This dog is definitely a HERO!!!

Extremely intelligent! :) I think that's more important. Besides, it doesn't say you are 'extremely ugly' so I'm okay with being an extremely intelligent but 'average-looking' girl. (Maybe I can use my intelligence to make myself look better, haha!)
Go without brushing your teeth for a year or go without washing your hair for a year?
EEWWWW!!! This is a hard one. Man, I HAVE to brush my teeth so I choose that. I'll probably just wear a hat or scarf to hide my nasty hair. ><
Be rich or famous?
I don't care much for fame so I choose to be rich.
Have an amazing shoe collection or an amazing makeup collection? Shoe collection! :) I usually don't wear much makeup :p
Be able to sing or be able to dance?
Dance! :P Might be good exercise for me.
Be stranded on a Desert Island or in the Desert?
Desert island. The desert sounds a bit too hot.
Have a computer or a TV?
Computer!!! :) I love the internet :P I don't watch TV very much anyway.
Wear spots or stripes for the rest of your life?
Which way do the stripes go? I guess I'll choose spots then :P
Drink out of a teacup or a mug?
A teacup because I can stick my pinky out when I hold the teacup. Plus, it looks cuter.
Receive a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates?
Chocolates please!!! :P Oink!
I usually feel bad when flowers are picked anyway. I would much rather have them in the soil and alive.
Have a hug or a kiss from someone you love?
A hug! Big bear hugs are always nice.
Wear Converse or Stilettos?
Stilettos. I'm more of a girly girl.
Stilettos. I'm more of a girly girl.

Kind. I don't really care for much attention.
Eat sweets or cakes?
Aren't those almost the same things?
Hold a Tarantula or a Snake?
EWWW! I'm not too fond of both but I would much rather hold a snake. I've done it before. Tarantulas are too scary and furry.
Wear a necklace or a ring?
Necklace. I like to makes things using my hands a lot and rings can get in the way sometimes.

Laugh. Might give me some abs.
Be hated or be a hater?
Sucks but I choose hater. Thought it might be easier to deal with emotionally.

Pearls.
If you had to choose, lose your sight or hearing?
Hearing. Felt like I could be more independent that way.

Love or be loved?
Love.

Say Hello to Model Annie Chow
It is so hard to take pictures of a black cat :P The majority of the pictures always turn out to be a black fuzzyball.
Just wanted to share what I do on some sunny afternoons; Bug Annie by taking tons of pictures of her :p I think she likes the attention from the look of her face :p

"I am blind, please help."
I got this story forwarded to me and just wanted to share. I do feel like I need a little reminder like this every once in a while because I take too many things for granted.
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help."
There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign
came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked,
"Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply told people to help by putting some money in the hat. The second sign told people that they were able
to enjoy the beauty of the day, but the boy could not enjoy it because he was blind.
The first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.
Face your past without regret.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear.
Keep the faith and drop the fear.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling.
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it !!!

Nekkei Matsuri
Hi all!
I went to the Nekkei-Matsuri (Japanese-American Festival) in San Jose Japantown a while back and just wanted to share pictures! :)
They had a good amount of stores that sold a lot of neat stuff: jewelry, crafts, ceramics, shirts, patterned paper, etc. Definitely a lot of hand-made items too.
I have no idea why I took a picture of these kitty greeting cards haha! :P
Awwww! A teddy in a mini kimono! Isn't that so adorable! :P They also made kimonos for barbies. Awesome stuff.
They also had some entertainment. Man, they make me want to learn how to beat the Taiko drums!
It was a pretty hot day so it was nice to go inside and watch the sword performance. Sorry for the dark picture. There wasn't much lighting inside. That hot girl in front was bad ass!
People busy making tempura! I was being a fatty and so I ate it before I got to take a picture of it :P
At least I got to take a quick picture of the calamari. :p Yum!
Fat Ox!!! :P
Haha this amused me :p
Here's the full display if you were curious...
Fat horse. Haha! I can't help it! Fat stubby looking animals amuse me! :P
Maybe you are sick of seeing fat stubby stuff, I'll end this post with pretty ikebana then...
