I Have A Wish

I consider myself pretty superstitious.

Its silly? :p
I don't mind.
I'll still believe in it.
It gives me good memories of my grandmother and all of her colorful stories she used to tell me. She would teach me and my sister through stories and not just by telling us what to do/not-do or what is wrong/right. I loved how she lets us think for ourselves and choose which path we wanted to take whether it be bad or good.

Where am I going with this?
Well, I have a wish that I really want.
And I've done this before a few years back, no lie.

I'm folding 1000 cranes.

Japanese legend has it that your wish will come true if you go through the labor of folding 1000 cranes.
Do you want to know if my wish came true the first time I had folded 1000 cranes?

Maybe it was coincidence?
It doesn't matter.
My wish still came true.
Plus, wouldn't life sound more fun when a little bit of "magic" exists?

I've even tried testing this whole theory out, just in case.
I started out by making an outrageous wish that I know will never come true and tried folding another 1000 cranes for that wish.
Guess what happened. I never finished folding all 1000 of them. O_o
And don't think I didn't try. It just so happened that certain things in life kept on happening to me which caused that batch to have never been fully completed.

In the end, I just like the idea of how I can feel like there is a slight chance that I am able to control the outcome of my life sometimes.

I've folded 612 little cranes so far. :p Only 388 more to go.
Do you have a wish?

Even if you don't believe in this but you still want to learn how to fold these little cranes, you can find some instructions: (here, here, and here)

(If you want to make ones as small as mine, I cut out my square paper to a size that measures a little less than 2cm on each side)

NOTD

("Monsooner or Later" & "Banana Bandanna" Nail Polish; Konad stamping nail art) haha.. I stamped the "Love" character upside down :P oops.. it looks okay when my nails face me tho :P

I was shopping the other day and came across a place in the mall that sold O.P.I nail polishes :) I didn't have any nail polish from O.P.I so I thought I might try some :)

I got only two: "Monsooner or Later" and "Banana Bandanna"
I like the names... pretty creative :P

I really loved the way "Banana Bandanna" looked on Asami's nails when she did her "Cupcake Manicure" so I had to get that. I don't own any yellow colored nail polishes so this was a nice addition to my small collection. :)

I'm wearing 3 coats of "Banana Bandana" and I liked it a lot. Asami has a much better swatch of this on her blog (Nails by Asami). You should definitely check her blog out for nail art inspiration. She has so many pretty designs and very clear step-by-step picture tutorials too. Her blog is one of my favorites!

hee.. pretty random.. :P this was my first time trying these...
wanted to share pics coz the bears had little belly-buttons :P haha!

Win a Konad B Kit by KonADDICT!!!

KonADDICT is hosting a great giveaway! Everybody can participate in this giveaway, even if you don't have a blog of your own, plus Konad is always fun to win so why not?
Thanks to Natalie from Nani Nails to share this information and help spread the word out :)

I'm sure a lot of you already know what Konad Stamping Nail Art is already but for those who don't know, it is a nail-imprinting kit that lets you stamp different designs from image plates and onto your own nails!

I really like the Konad Stamping Nail Art as you can tell from the picture above :P
I tried to fit as many different designs at once just to see how many variation I can come up with :) Its pretty fun and addicting actually... :P
Sometimes I like to try and paint my own designs on my nails but I wouldn't be able to have the patience to paint something so intricate like some of the designs the Konad image plates offer.

I also like how you can use these stamping designs other than on your nails (ex. cell phones, sunglasses, etc).

If that didn't convince you enough, you should check out the KonADDICT blog and get some inspiration from some of the beautiful and creative designs she's come up with using the Konad Stamping Nail Art :)
