Easy "Brush Guard"

I was watching Dustin Hunter's YouTube video (Quick Tricks: Drying Your Brushes) the other day and I thought that he gave such a great tip on how to dry your makeup brushes after you have cleaned them.
Here's his video:

I don't own brush guards so I've been laying my makeup brushes on a towel at a slant to try and keep the water away from the ferrule. -__-;;;
I didn't really believe this tip was going to work very well so I decided to try it. I had extra TP lying around anyway :p
My army of brushes all wrapped up tight

so....did it work??

Nail Polish Thinner and NOTD

I had never heard of nail polish thinner before and so I used to just add nail polish remover whenever my nail polish became thicker... :P
So I was excited when I got some Nail Polish Thinner by Beauty Secrets (I had mentioned this before in an earlier post) .

This is a mini nail polish bottle that had dried out a very long time ago...
The nail polish looks pretty gross... all clumpy and gooey...

Added some nail polish thinner to see if it could save it...

Yay!!! I couldn't believe it actually made that dried up nail polish back into the same consistency as it was before :) What a shame... I could have saved my other dried up nail polish instead of throwing them away...

And there is that same nail polish on my nails :) I didn't do a very good job at applying but its late at night and I'm tired :P
I still tried Narita's cute mini bows though :) Was pretty fun and I really liked how simple it was to do! :P Thanks Narita for your fun tutorial! :)

Nail Stuff

I went to Sally's and got a few things for my nails :) I found these very cute flower accessories too <3

I also got some nail polish thinner by Beauty Secrets. Some of my nail polish were getting thicker than usual and so I thought I might give this a try. This is my first time buying this and so I don't know how it compares to other brands. I added a few drops to my old nail polishes and viola! Polishes are good as new! :P I also got Nail Life's "Aromatherapy Drop On" polish dryer. I don't know why but I always paint my nails at night. It has to be before I go to bed too and so I'm usually quite impatient when it comes to waiting for my nail polish to dry.

Just wanted to show you the dropper coz I thought it looked pretty cool haha! :P The directions tell me I'm supposed to add a drop on each nail after polishing my nails.
It actually has quite a nice scent to it... kinda fruity :)
I thought it worked pretty well :) my nail polished dried pretty fast :)
The residual product is also supposed to moisturize the cuticles and hands too :P

Ofcourse I had to play with the pretty flower accessories so I just wanted to share a picture of how I did my nails:
I attempted to try to paint lil "hello kitties" on my nails but they came out funny :P
I used Sally Hansen's "Nail art pen" in black to draw "Hello Kitty's" eyes, nose and whiskers. :PPretty convenient actually... I bought this at Walgreens a while back and since it's like a pen, it feels easier to draw designs on my nails compared to using brushes :P
