"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." - Mark Twain |
I know I'm feeling the winter blues and its not even officially winter yet... or is it?
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid and overly dramatic because I tend to scare myself by visiting WebMD a little too often; all of a sudden it seems that I have acquired all of the symptoms the very moment I'm reading about them. -__-
If you can't tell, I am using SAD as an excuse for not blogging these couple of days? weeks? month? O_o
I just felt the need to explain, especially when I get such sweet reminders from Rabitto to blog more often. :P Thanks Rabbito! :3 You're such a cutie.
The weather's been getting colder and I haven't been feeling like doing a lot of things. I was feeling all blah and I didn't want to post anything on my blog that was negative but here I am writing this... haha... I guess I'm feeling a little bold; ready to open up and get more personal! :P
A lot of your comments and messages really reminded me why I like to blog so much. I like the feeling of being connected with you guys. Thank you for always dropping by to say hi and asking me how I'm doing. Thanks for all of your nice and encouraging comments. Thank you for noticing that I haven't been writing any posts lately and thanks for bugging me to write more often! :)

I do the same thing! I wonder if I have SAD, too, because I've been feeling really fatigued and a little more depressed than normal since the weather has been cooling down.
I hope you cheer up!
YAY! \(^w^)/ Kay`s latest post!♥ I wish there`s Autumn season here~~ I can`t wait to visit my grandma in Japan and eat sweet potatoes yummy yum! =3
And I`m just feeling glad because you`re back, finally!♥♥
Awww, I know it stinks. Being stuck in the house sucks! But it'll be over sooner than we think. So get your butt back to blogging, I miss you!! :)
Oh Kay, I really thought I had replied to this post before.. but I'm so careless :( sorry hun. Oh no, please don't go on WebMD anymore! There is something called a "self-fulfilling prophecy" effect in psychology where.. if you believe something is going to happen, you will somehow engage in behavior that makes the thing come true! I don't want you to have SAD.. I am totally blah about the weather too.. cold weather makes me more grumpy definitely but I can't let myself stay moody for that many months!
Thank you for your comment btw! the story about your mom being refused as a customer in Vietnam is another example of ethnic stereotyping :( urgh
My husband definitely has SAD too. He had no idea what it was but for years always got really down if he didn't get enough sun exposure for a week or so and during the winter it always comes. I finally told him, "Dude, I think you have SAD like Van Gogh." He had no idea what I was talking about. :-D
Thanks for all the sweet comments on my blog, Kay :) I'm sure I don't have it, but it's worth looking into. I don't know how it would actually be diagnosed, I guess I could research that a bit.
I always get a bad case of the WBs, but mine start in Feb. Hope ya feel better. :)
feeling better soon! well SAD is really hard to detect... so i dont think you're paranoid. i hope you feel better soon though

Keep your head up. You're just over thinking things and you aren't the only one who gets winter blues. Take as much time as you need to feel better. Blogging will be here. =]
Also... stop reading up on symptoms for random sicknesses. Getting you worried for nothing.
<3s Serena.
I'm sorry for your loss, i know exactly what you mean... it's just the feeling of loss in general and family. my mother is mostly affected by it really. she saw him before his suddenly died at the hospital. stay strong!
oh dont be sad kay!!!! there are million reasons to be happy :) glad you're back though
People like you always give a lot of energy to others, because you give 100% and always spread happiness, be it here on your blog or in comments on other blogs. I missed your comments, yes, but I think these days it's so normal that bloggers take breaks. So take your time and blog as you feel. You have my support, Kay :)
