Mao's Last Dancer Movie

I just got back from watching Mao's Last Dancer.

I know what you're thinking... a movie about a ballet-dancing man from China? I wasn't too excited about watching this movie at first but boy was I wrong!
I can definitely say that this was one of the best films I have watched in a while! I really liked how this film was based on a true story as well. There were so many times I teared up and even cried just because the story was so touching! I don't believe there was any part of the film that did not grab my attention.

Would I watch this movie again?
YES!!! I would recommend this movie to everybody! You should watch it!!!

Have any of you seen this movie yet? If so, how did you like it? :) I really want to know!

Stuff I bought at Daiso

There is no Daiso store close to where my sister lives and so we all went there to check it out and buy a few things. Daiso is like a $1.50 store although they also carry items that clearly marked if they cost more than $1.50.
Daiso has a lot of interesting, cute, and useful items. It is always so fun to browse through that store! :3
I just wanted to share what I bought, if you guys would be interested to see...

1.Tape for double eyelid

2. Double eyelid glue

Has anybody tried these two eyelid products before? I'm curious to know if they are any good...
These are for my friend. Sounds kind of uncomfortable.

3. Purse hangers ("Bag Hanger Hook")

I've been meaning to get these and I've seen them ranging from $3 to $40 and so when I saw them at Daiso for $1.50 only, I had to grab them! :) I got them in pink, green and blue. I think its great for when we go out, we won't have to place our bags/purses onto the ground. :p I don't quite like the idea of dirtying or getting germs onto my bags. :p So I thought that these were such a great buy!

4. Hair brush ("soft boar bristles")
The box says it was "excellent for glossy hair", and "has no static electricity". :3

5. Self-adhesive designed fabric
I was going to try and protect my phone with this. Hopefully that will work out. If not, I will probably use it to decorate and cover other objects I can find around the house. :p It looks like it will make a plain-looking item a lot better!

I've got some pictures I wanted to share with you guys from a couple of trips I went to not too long ago too! :3 Hopefully I'll get to show you in my upcoming posts very soon. :)

Shopping with my sister!!! :) OOTD

I'm so happy that my sister is here!!! I haven't seen her since two Christmas's ago!
We went shopping :) I wanted to introduce my sister and I guess I'll just kill two birds with one stone by making this an outfit of the day post as well. :P

Here she is!!! This is my sister, May! :) She's the total opposite of me! :P She is very sporty, especially the extreme kinds. She just learned how to swing on the trapeze earlier this summer O_o
She wants to surf as well :P and so maybe we will be visiting the beach a lot :3
I'll just stand by the shore and eat some fresh seafood! No surfing for me, thank you. :P

DIY Nail Art Stickers Tutorial

Hi guys :3
Since my face is swollen, I decided to make a nail post. :)
I was watching 3TanjaJ3's youtube channel and wanted to try out the "nail art stickers" you can make yourself ;)

Supplies you will need:
- Plastic sheet (can be cellophane-type plastic)
- Nail Polish
- Toothpick, brush, etc (anything you are going to use to draw/paint your desired design)
- Clear varnish/top coat

Here, I just had a small random plastic sheet I got from some packaging...
I also thought it might a good idea to trace the hello kitty and badz-maru designs onto the plastic sheet since its transparent ;)

Take your colored nail polishes and start tracing, filling in, painting, or drawing any design you would like to stick onto your nails with a toothpick (or any other tool of your choice)...
Here's my poor attempt (and first attempt!!!) to try the hello kitty design...
I'm sure you get the point though...

Here's how mine turned out so far HAHAHHAHAHA!!!!! I think it was hard because the design was really tiny and my toothpick was a bit too thick.. maybe I'll use another tool to do this next time. Hopefully the next one I do will turn out much better...

After you've painted your design on the plastic sheet using your nail polish, carefully brush a layer of clear varnish on your design...
Here's my varnish on my badz-maru design :P
I also went ahead and made some simple flower shapes just to try out...

Wait for your designs to dry completely...  peel it off the plastic sheet and place on your nail:

Flatten your "nail sticker" on your nails and seal with top coat/ clear nail varnish! :)

Base nail color: I'm wearing "Mauve It" by Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color.

Update

Hi guys :)

This post isn't going to be very fun and with lots of pictures. I usually like to keep words to a minimum but today I just felt like talking, I guess.

Haven't been blogging much lately but I've been experiences lots of unexpected things.
My bf's grandmother had passed away a few weeks ago and I tried to help with what I could, mainly just giving support and care to my bf and his family. It was quite sad but my bf and his family are strong people. I'm so glad that I got to be with them throughout the whole funeral and mourning process.
That incident really reminded me to be grateful for still having lots of people I love around me and to not take life for granted.

I went to the dentist two days ago to have two of my molars pulled out. I must say, Ibuprofen is my best friend at the moment. I feel like my cheek is ten times bigger than it really is. Mom's been singing this "fat cheek squirrel" song to me a lot (she had just made it up yesterday). Haha... its not so funny when I'm the "fat cheek squirrel" but if my pain and suffering makes my mom laugh, I'm happy. :p At least its nice to know that my mom has a good sense of humor huh...

I do have some good news coming up though! :)
I'm so excited about my sister coming to visit me all the way from Canada! :) She was supposed to arrive today but her flight got canceled. Boo! She'll still be arriving tomorrow so I'm still happy! Super exciting!!! :)

Hope you all are doing great! :)

But before I go, I wanted to share this video I just watched.
This dog is definitely a HERO!!!
